RBC43 fits these 120V North American APC models. The 230V international "I" versions (for example SMT2200RMI2U and SMT3000RMI2U) use the same cartridge.

Tower vs rackmount: RBC43 is for the 2U rackmount (RM2U) units only. The tower SMT2200 and SMT3000 take the RBC55 cartridge. Check the model on your UPS label before ordering.

Does the RBC43 fit the tower SMT2200 or SMT3000?

No. RBC43 is the flat cartridge for the 2U rackmount (RM2U) versions. The tower SMT2200 and SMT3000 use the RBC55 cartridge instead. Check the model number on the label of your UPS: if it contains RM2U, you need RBC43.

What are the RBC43 voltage and capacity?

RBC43 is a 48V DC, 10Ah sealed lead-acid (VRLA) cartridge, about 480 Wh of stored energy. It measures roughly 533 x 216 x 76 mm and weighs about 19 kg. One cartridge is required per UPS.

Can I replace the RBC43 without shutting down the UPS?

Yes. RBC43 is hot-swappable, so you can remove the old cartridge and install the new one through the front panel while the UPS keeps powering the connected load. The cartridge ships fully assembled with all connectors and the metal tray.

How long does an RBC43 battery last?
